PANDAS/PANS Moms
Support Group

Parenting a neurodivergent child can be incredibly challenging and overwhelming. The constant stress and worry, along with the additional responsibilities that come with it, can be exhausting. It's often difficult for those who don't have firsthand experience with neurodivergent parenting to truly understand the complexities and emotional toll it takes.

When sharing our struggles with others, we often receive responses that may not fully capture the unique difficulties we face. This can lead to feelings of isolation and inadequacy, as we grapple with the daily challenges of supporting our neurodivergent children.

If you can relate to these experiences, you may benefit from a six-week support group program for PANDAS/PANS mothers focusing on biohacking parental PTSD. It offers access to valuable resources, as well as live sessions focused on support, stress management, and DIY sustainability, and self-compassion exercises aiming to biohack dysregulation (PTSD) while managing the specific needs of parenting neurodivergent children.

This program will include the use of The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) which work to restore our connection to a sense of safety by resourcing the body through signals of safety using auditory pathways.

Dr. Odelya Gertel Kraybill

As a trauma researcher, psychotherapist, neurodivergent parenting specialist, and double PANS mom, I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families who encounter complex mental health circumstances.

As a PANS mom, I aim to provide parents with valuable information about the importance of an appropriate intervention timeline, raise awareness about PANDAS/PANS/AE, and offer hope to families navigating these complex conditions.

As a survivor of developmental and complex trauma born and raised in Israel, my mission is to support individuals and families in the journey of trauma integration, targeting all aspects of health and offering you a path toward wellness.

My primary tools for interacting with clients are rooted in attachment-based psychotherapy, neuroscience, and expressive therapies. Additionally, I have researched and self-studied nutritional psychology and integrative psychotherapy to broaden my approach.

I have developed the ETI approach based on three pillars: experiential psychoeducation (Six Stages Trauma Integration Roadmap), Secure Attunement Framework, and Individual Sustainability Plans in order to identify the root causes and biohack dysregulation (PTSD).

Biohacking involves using knowledge and practices from biology, genetics, neuroscience, and nutrition, translating to "Do-It-Yourself practices."

This work has led me to focus on the interactions between emotional states, nervous system function, and the immune system, an area known as Psychoneuroimmunology. This interdisciplinary field is crucial for understanding complex neurological and neuropsychiatric symptoms that do not respond to standard therapies.

I consult individuals and families with complex mental health conditions, investigate root causes, and tailor short—and long-term intervention plans. I often collaborate with specialists to target all aspects of health toward maximum wellness.

I understand the challenges of parenting children in complex situations. I experienced medical gaslighting and gaslighting by other professionals, family, and friends, which was confusing and painful.

With two decades of experience, I am here to provide hope and competence to help you navigate your way forward.

Safe & Sound Protocol

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) remote delivery offers a transformative listening journey designed to guide individuals from a state of survival to a sense of safety.
At its core, the program harnesses the power of Vagal nerve toning through a curated series of filtered music to provide a direct pathway to reducing stress and enhancing emotional regulation. This program is tailored for individuals experiencing a persistent fight-or-flight response, with the aim of offering a bridge to a more balanced and social engaged state.

Stress and trauma overload our nervous system, leaving us in various states of fight/flight/freeze, which impact how we interact with others, our environment, and how we feel inside and about ourselves.

The SSP is like a workout for our nervous system attempting to develop flexibility that allow more response (choice) vs. reaction (instinct) by resourcing the body through signals of safety using auditory pathways.

What people have shared after their experiences with the SSP:

- I’m less reactive in stressful situations.

- I am much more patient with my kids.

- My sleep improved and I feel more rested.

- My concentration and mood have improved.

- I don’t get stuck as much and don’t get so angry with everything.

More about SSP here.
