ETI Secure Attunement Framework
Service Description
This is a series of two workshops for therapists seeking to learn about the Expressive Trauma Integration Secure Attunement Framework with an adaptation to online sessions. Working with developmental trauma (trauma that took place ages 0-6) requires a different framework of treatment than work with trauma experienced later in life. Developmental trauma (DT) (or reactive attachment disorder) can manifest in a variety of ways — sensory processing disorder, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, DMDD, bi-polar, personality disorders (especially borderline personality disorder), PTSD, cognitive impairment, speech delay, learning disabilities, and more. This workshop will focus on theories and treatment practices of developmental trauma and how it can manifest as different neuropsychiatric symptoms such as RAD, ODD, conduct disorder, DMDD, etc. Objectives: 1) Understand and learn about the ETI Secure Attunement Framework. 2) Learn tools on how to work with clients who are developmental trauma survivors in online sessions. 3) Increase therapeutic adeptness in blending bottom-up experiential modalities (expressive arts and somatic/body-oriented approaches) and top-down approaches (narrative processing). 4) Develop a clear understanding of the foundational role of attunement in brain development in the early years of life. 5) Learn what is trauma integration in the context of developmental trauma. 6) Get introduced to the use of action method tools to facilitate sensory and bi-lateral integration adapted to the age when the developmental trauma took place. Topics Session One: Introduction to ETI Secure Attunement Framework. Session Two: Application of Secure Attunement Framework with kids in Online Sessions. Dates When: December 13 (two sessions and 30min break between). Session I: 1:00-2:30PM EST. Session II: 3:00-3:30-PM EST. A recording will be sent to all participants to view for 7 days.
